Nicole Francis Anderson

Melody and I are very happy to share with you our joy in the arrival of our first granddaughter, Nicole. The proud parents, Brenda & Shane, have been kept pretty busy with the little girl. We have been more than happy to have Nicole come and visit us when Mom & Dad take a little break from time to time.

I suppose this is typical behavior for new grandparents. But I figured it was about time to update our web page and a new baby is a pretty natural subject. At least I didn't bombard you with thousands of pictures of Nicole from the day she was born. In these pictures she's about four-and-a-half months old.

For me it's been a pretty unique experience not having had any babies of my own. I haven't actually had to change a diaper yet, but I've witnessed the procedure and it looks like it's pretty easy to do. Nicole is a real doll.

We've had a lot of fun taking her out to different places. Mostly she's gone out to eat with us. We've had her to our regular spots: Pannekoeken, Yarusso's, India Palace, Mongkok and Ciatti's. And we made a special trip with Brenda & Nicole to Midtown Global Market. We also paid a visit to Como Zoo. I think Nicole was a little to young to really appreciate what was going on but I can tell that soon she is really going to enjoy the animals.

Mostly I think this has been a terrific thing for Melody. She is so happy being a grandma. Whenever Nicole is around they both light up at the sight of each other. And the great thing is, this is just the beginning. Stay tuned!
